just wondered what you guys thought aboht tributes? I am in a 9 piece Skynyrd tribute called AYNT SKYNYRD we are playing the bulldog bike fest this year on the friday. Good to see more like minded people like yourselves........keeping it southern...hell yeah

Hi guy's, and  , To answer your question about tributes band's, I have no problem with such band's, IMO, they have good musicians, great sound, and I'd rather listen to a tribute band playing music that i like, than some band pumping out the same old stuff, (mustang Sally) just to name one song, (not that i don't like M S  ) There are some great tribute bands out there, playing music like the Allman Bro's, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and such, Yeah, I have no problem   That's a good gig playing the Bulldog Bash  good crowd, big stage, should be fun, nice one ;D |

The whole Idea of music is to express yourself,Me I enjoy doing my qwn stuff,but knowing the songs of others lets you have some insight into that group,I have Played with ARS,Stillwater,and have jammed at the farm of the Allman Brothers.Knowing their music helps you to play with them. But like I said I like taxing my brain trying to come up with something no ones heard of........Ed

good point Ed, I go see lots of original stuff, but like a lot of people my age Im stuck in the so called golden era. I have helped my nephew and stepson get started so i feel i am doing my bit, .......long live Skynyrd ...........Mick

Went on the Skynyrd cruise last jan saw the band three times in four days, met the band, anyone with a grand to spare should get on the boat!!!!!! 2000 hard rocking rednecks it was amazing, Im going again in Jan 2008, wife into it as well what a lucky boy I am yee haaa!anyone else going??
