[shadow=red,left,300]FASTEDDIE AND THE MUSCLECAR BLUES BAND [/shadow]
The Musclecar Blues Band fell into place after a few informal jams at a friends music store, Cranebow Music in Crestline, CA. Our mutual friend Bruce Fitzsimmons introduced me to many other musicians here on the mountain. After playing with many excellent musicians, like Greg Kage of Canned Heat , four of us formed the Musclecar Blues Band. Fasteddie plays lead guitar, George plays bass, Jed,makes love to the drums, and Dusty blows the harp. George and Fasteddie take care of the singing duties. As you’ll hear from our demo CD we play original fast driving blues and rock, along with a tasty mix of classic rock and blues. We get the crowd up and dancing and keep them rocking all night long. Fast Eddie has played with the likes of John Mayall, Buddy Miles,Gerry Garcia, The Mommas Boys, Criss Hanlin, Bobby Right,The Cristian Travlers Gosple Quertet , and a host of other world class entertainers and in such venues as the Blue Cafe, in Long Beach, The World Famuos Sandpiper, The Crows Nest and even the Sunday Blues Lunch at the Long Beach Museum of Art, A list to long to list here!! Eddie writes the songs and gives em that special high energy wail with his flamboyant vocals and pyrotechnic lead guitar licks, all with a nod to the Classic Blues artists such asBuddy Guy, Muddy Waters, B.B. King ,and John Lee Hooker, with a little Jimi Hendrix, for a spisy mix, not soon fogotten !!! Currently he plays at the Stockade in Crestline every Friday night. Check him out live. George Cardin was playing guitar by age 16, by 17 he was teaching at the music school he started with. Frank Zappa and George both student at the same time at Chaffey College. Layter, one of George's students became a member of Frank's"Mothers of Invention". Geroge himself went on to play rhythm for Bara Mandell. Then later, celebrities would bring George their guitars for his touch of magic when he worked for Fender Guitar Co. George has played in various bands, but in the 70's George formed his own group,"Sweet N Sour"."Sweet N Sour" played at the Paladium(in its prime). They also played The Harbor Tour Boat at New Port Beach and even on the Queen Mary. When George moved to the mountains of So.Cal. he met Fasteddie. With George's hot bass licks and Eddie's magical leads the Musclecar Blues Band was born. Dusty"The Harp Man", says he met his harp at the tender age of 13. It was love right from the begining. Together, Dusty and his harp journeyed the bluesy streets of San Francisco to the rock n roll bars of Seattle and honky tonks of Texas, finaly coming to rest in the mountians of So.Cal. Having heard The Harp Man's unique cultivated blending of harmonic tones, Fast Eddie immediatly adopted Dusty and his harp into the Musclecar Blues Band family. Be ready folks for an experience you'll not soon forget!!!!!!!!!. The Muscle Car Blues Band is joined onstage frequently by friends who love to “sit in with this driving rocking band. Bruce Fitzsimmons, Reggie Banister, John McGill and Greg Kage of Canned Heat fame are great friends who sat in for The Crestline 4th of July Celebration, Goodwin Markets 60th, THE 100th Birthday Party for the Town of Crestline and quit a few Hot Rods and Harley events put on by the Crestline Chamber of Commerce and Played 3 benifits for the Fallen Firefighters at The Antlers Inn.
