About Big Daddy Blues
Big Daddy Blues assembled for their mission in the summer of 2004 and is based out of Oskaloosa, Iowa. Big Daddy Blues provides its own sound and light system when needed and performs a professional solid blues show with originals and choice covers.
B.D.B. is still in the recording studio finishing up some recording. Will post more of the 2008 schedule later, we also write all our own music for our recordings,
By the way, the song Muddy Waters is a true account of events the night I met Muddy Waters in Chicago back in 1967.
Band Members
Danny Oliverson-guitar, harp and vocals, Jimmy Smith-guitar,bottle neck and vocals, Tom Welsh-bass and vocals, Terry DeJong-drums and vocals, Leann Bartlow-baritone sax, Kevin Arnold-tenor and alto sax. Members of B.D.B. have worked with such great artists as: Casey Foutz, Phil Jones, The Rumbles, Wayne Baker Brooks, The Joe Moss Band, The Iron Butterfly, Jimmie Van Zant, CCR, Bo Diddley, The Diamonds, The Tokens, The Four Ladds, Tommy Roe, Johnny Tillotson, Jerry Presley, The Jordanaires, Le Roy Van d**e and Booker T and the MGs.
Big Daddy Blues, is one of hundreds of great "Blues Bands", that are out there weekend after weekend keeping the Blues alive.. in the small joints, and the big halls, playing to crowds of 25 to 2,500 keeping the Music alive..
