[shadow=red,left,300]The Oli Brown Band[/shadow]
As a band the Oli Brown Band have been together for 12 months. they have already begun to spread around the whole of the UK to bring the name out. The songs are a mix between originals and covers. the band promote it as an originals band because most of the songs that they play are songs either Oli or the band have written. There are covers to help bring people into the unkown music.
The name is spreading well with great write ups and magazine articles (Elmore, Blues in Britain, Blues Matters and more) and various studio recordings for radio shows (Paul Jones BBC2, Dave Raven, and more).
Oli's been honoured to share the stage with John Mayall, Buddy Whittington, Aynsley Lister, Chris Duarte, Otis Grand, Kenny Kneal, Billy Branch, Miss Blues, Blinddog Smokin' and more. And have been in the same line up with Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Eric Sardinas, Delbert McClinton, Koko Taylor and more.
He has toured America on numerous occasions with a band called Blinddog Smokin'. These guys are his heroes! They took him under their wing a few years ago and taught him so much about music
(Oli writes). Its such a priceless education and i am eternally greatfull for what they have done for me. I can't thank them enough. I just recently got back from a tour with them and met their new guitarist Gino Matteo. He is an incredible player and song writer. He taught me a lot too and I had a fantastic time with him. I can't thank him enough for what he has done to help me out. All of Blinddog, just incredible guys.
The reason i am doing what i do and things are going the way they are, are because of all of these great people. And countless hours of hard work at the on stage and off stage.
He's one of the new breed of young Blues men in the UK, he's a great guitar player and an excellent vocalist/song writer, Oli is quite simply one of the most exciting guitarists to emerge on the UK blues-rock scene in a long time,
Oli has played with many well known blues men, "John Mayall" "Paul Jones" (Manfred Mann and now The Blues Band) "Aysnley Lister " " Buddy Whittington" "Walter Trout" and many more,
Here's a video of Oli jamming with Walter Trout at the Boom Boom club
