Thought I 'd have some fun with polls. Perhaps jump start some discussion. I only include studio albums here because live albums are cheating . What's your favorite?

I would say studio albums would be cheating. Because they edit, & add things. But anyway: I'll vote "Street Survivers" ;D

Perhaps "Cheating" isn't necessarily the correct word, but Live albums and studio albums ARE apples and oranges IMO.

I much prefer live albums too. 'Tis why I don't count them in these polls, cuz I would ALWAYS vote for the live album over any studio effort. BTW-I can't belive I'm not the only one voting for "Gimmie Back My Bullets". That album is usually so overlooked, but I really think it was Skynyrd at their best. The loss of Ed King forced Rossington and Collins to step it up a notch in both the songwriting and guitaring. Some of my favorite songs and guitar licks are on this record.

Yeah, it was a tough choice for me. I think I voted Street Survivers because the original album cover, I guess, is rare? (I think) And I have it.

I also voted for "Street Survivors" but - I like all eras of the band's music from "Pronounced" to "Street Survivors." I am not a huge fan of JVZ! Lacy made the comment in the VH1 "Behind The Music" special that Johnny "looks a lot like Ronnie and sings like him!" B.S.!! Johnny Van Zant does not sound nor look like his late older brother! Maybe in the earlier days in the 80s he might have but - not now. And JVZ definitely doesn't sound like Ronnie. He says that he's "not up there trying to sound like Ronnie" - that's a good thing because he doesn't sound like Ronnie and never will. There will always be ONE Ronnie Van Zant and, sadly, he was taken from us much too soon nearly thirty-nine years ago.
