Can he do the fiddle or what. Another fiddle player I like is Doug Kershaw, born right here in Cajun Country Luziana. Wouldn't it be cool to see those two duel it out.

I bought his live DVD a few years ago. For the most part, it was too slick for my tastes. However, on it's "Special features" there is a clip from 1975 where they play "Birmingham Blues" with the classic lineup (Tommy Crain, Taz Digregorio, Charlie Hayward, Fred Edwards, Don Murray). That clip alone is worth the entire price of the DVD. Hot enough to burn a barn!

"Birmingham Blues"; what a great tune. I've been trying to master that song on guitar for close to 30 years now. I have it close, but not note for note perfect. "No place left To Go"; another great tune, Love that bass intro. Again. I can get it close, but not perfect. CDB will always be one of favorites. I'll have to skin my eyes for that DVD.

Classic songs "Birmingham Blues" great song He had some great musicians at that time, Tommy Crain, which wrote a lot of the songs with Charlie, and now he's going out there with his own band "Tommy Crain & the Crosstown Allstars" A really good band, i really like them, some great songs and playing I've not seen that DVD either, I'll have to look out for it, Some other tracks i like by Charlie are "If It Would Satisfy You" "New Orleans Parish Blues" some great slide playing on this track, and some nice playing and great tone on the guitars ;D "No Fool Like An Old Fool" again some really nice playing, great song, i love playing this song, and "Simple Man" and a lot more to name

I haven't heard any of those. Is that the same "Simple Man" that Lynyrd Skynrd does? I'll have to look for a cd with those tunes on it.

Most of them track's are on the "Blues Hat" CD, except for "Simple Man" I got that one on a Charlie Daniels greatest hits CD, No It's not the same song as "Simple Man" by "Lynyrd Skynyrd", It's a lot more country'ish, good song though I'll send you a copy of "Blues Hat" if you wanna Excellent playing and songs on this CD, some mighty fine slide playing
