Tim Brooks and the Alien Sharecroppers
Tim Brooks and the Alien Sharecroppers are from Macon, Georgia,
the style of music they play is a fusion of Blues, Rock, Funky Southern Country Rock, with searing guitar leads and great slide playing from Tim Brooks,
They play a mixture of original material, and some nicely selected covers ( at the mo, I'm listening to in Memory of Elisabeth Reed cove rd by Tim and his band} Tim Brooks is the man behind the band which are all seasoned musicians in they're own right,
Tim has received international exposer when he took the grand prize in guitar players magazine 25th anniversary ultimate guitar competition for his home studio version of "Made From Scratch" This led him to share the stage at Warfield Theater in Frisco, with such guitar greats as Steve Morse, Ry Cooder, John Lee Hooker, and Greg Allman,,
These guys have been fortunate to play bills with GREGG ALLMAN, DickEY BETTS, MOUNTAIN, ("Mississippi Queen" -YEAH!!!), MOTHER'S FINEST, GARY WRIGHT, ("Dream Weaver"), no less than MUDDY WATERS(!!!), THE DREGS, and on and on.
They do have two excellent Cd's out, "SEE ROCK CITY", and "BACK IN THE GAME",
So far the band have built up a good following in the USA and Europe, and i believe we will be hearing a lot more of them
