Southern rock is a style of rock music that was very popular in the 1970s, and still retains a large fan base to the present. It developed in the South of the United States from Rock and Roll and Blues, with a tinge of influence from Country and folk, and is focused generally on electric guitar and vocals In the 70s, Southern Rock, as exemplified by the likes of The Allman Brothers Band (Georgia), the Marshall Tucker Band (South Carolina), the Charlie Daniels Band (Tennessee), and Lynyrd Skynrd (Florida) emerged with a musical style marked by hard rock guitar, boogie rhythms, and lyrics about the cultural and historical heritage of the South. Groups like the Doobie Brothers often combined Southern Rock with Heavy Metal, though one of that group's biggest hits, "Black Water", has a typical Southern Rock

and to post pictures, again on the left on your reply page, you will see add tags, on the bottom line 4th box along, click on that it will bring up img tag, get the pic you want to post, put it in the middle of the img and the pic should be thereanyway just try, and have fun
