My favourite is (as if you cant guess) Dickey Betts either with, DB & his band, or with Great Southern, When he was with the Allmans Brothers he wrote some fantastic songs, Blue Sky, Jessica, Rambling Man, etc, as he still does to this day, his mixture of Rock, Blues, Country, and Jazz, creates a fascinating melodic sound, Dickey is the Man,  cofi |

My favorite - Dickey Betts and Great Southern .
Allmans are a different band these days ,
different sound without Dickey , even Warrens
playing sounds different these days , as a
result , I suppose , from his playing with such
a wide variety of people over the last few years .
Things change and evolve .
I always preferred the 'country/blues/rock'
over the jazzy/rock type of stuff .
And anything with screaming slide guitar
makes my heart jump .
