My old guitarist in the band in the 70s had one of these Flying Vs, when i used to have a go on it sitting down, it was a bit hard balancing the thing, It was an OK guitar standing up, sounded good very nice indeed I've never really thought about buying one of these guitars, but for the price some are going for now-day,s, i wouldn't mind buying one, for the right price of course This one seems to be going for a good price, you could pay this much for a good copy, Gibson Flying V Gibson's original Flying V of 1958 was so far ahead of its time that even the first reissues, almost 10 years later, were only moderately successful. Finally, in the late '60s and early '70s, progressive rockers embraced the V, and the 1967 version lives on today. WAS £1047 NOW £799 Sorry for the small photo

Mine is nothin special. Just a 2004 model Faded V with those oh so hot 496r/500t pups. I jam on it about 4-5 times a week. It's just unreal how hot these pups are. And when I get on it with the slide it can get real sic. The only thing wrong about it is it ain't a 58 V Korina with PAF buckers.

Hey whitey, do you plug it straight into your amp for your slide playing, or are you using any effects. I seem to get a better sound using a distortion pedal

I got one stomper and it's a Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz. I use it but not very much. My Peavey Classic 30 112 gives me all the gain I need. When I'm slidin on the V I turn the pregain down 2-4 notches, the 496/500 pups are just that hot. I like the fuzz box on my LPR better cause of the low imp pups. The amp does the LPR justice but the fuzz just makes it mo better.
