Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but I dont know the answer, But can a Telecaster be used as a lead guitar??? I don't see many guitarist using them as lead guitars only as rhythm guitars, I see most using Strats or Gibson Les Paul more than a Tele. Thanks in advance

I can answer this one by saying .. watch this. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uMAb9SU6jzcStatus Quo, twin Telecaster. I am not ashamed to say that they are one of my favourite bands live. Even my son loves them.

I'm sure/think that you are being serious when asking this question "yes"
When I first read it, I thought is this one taking the piss But on the other hand, maybe you really don't know, so I'm going to answer you as if you don't know,....
Slaphead has posted examples of two brilliant guitarist playing "Lead" on a Telecaster,
Here's a few more..........
Albert King named the "master" of the Telecaster's,
Here's another fantastic Tele player............ Roy Buchanan another "Master" of the Telecaster IMO.
Did that help
