I used to have and use these back in the 70s 80s, but nowday's i mainly use combos,

Like you said cofi, I ain't owned a stack in a coon's age. But every time I go get some strings, picks or stuff like that I always check out the gear. I have to say, gettin a 100 watt stack to play at home is just a waste although it would be nice to have one again. I am checkin into a 30 watt stack like my 112 combo I use now. Just for all the young guns out there, a 100 watt setup needs A WHOLE BUNCH OF ROOM in order to really push the tubes to get the good sound goin on. Imagine pluggin into and jammin 100 watts at even 25% volume. What was that you were sayin? Huh, what, you said something. My little 30 watt at 25% is almost too much. My son has a 120 watt 212 Crate combo and plays in a couple of bands and he's got enough amp for two people maybe three. Maybe when he hits the BIG TIME and plays arenas a full stack will come in handy.

Yes whitey i think the same some times, it'd be nice to have another one, but then what the hell for, i ain't going to use it anywhere soon, and it's way to loud to play at home or most clubs etc. and the combos I've got now do the job fine, and i could always borrow one from my mates if i needed one,
but very tempting (gas) when i see them in the shops

and to tell you the Truth i dont think my ears could stand it ;D

I'd love to be able to get a stack like that, i'd play it at home and screw the neighburs, that would be awsome

Just a tidbit of info on the kids who play guitar with my son at my house in the back yard. One has a Marshall 100 watt half stack, but it is one of the newer solid state units, mine has a Crate 120 watt combo, another has a 65 watt Crate combo, not to mention the drums and the bass player has I don't know what but he rattles the windows and doors. Every time they jam in the back yard it only lasts for maybe an hour cause all the redneck neighbors are callin the cops cause they play so loud.

Here's the kicker, the last 2 cops that came by said they sounded a whole lot better than most of the calls they get about loud music. They had a burger and coke cause I was bbqin that afternoon and let em play for another 30 minutes until they got through eatin.
