About Southern Mischief
Southern Mischief are a Southern Rock Band,
From "Atlanta" Georgia,
CRAIG MAXIM
Craig is Lead Singer & plays Rhythm Guitar & Keyboard for the band. He is also a Songwriter, and has performed across America and internationally, with audiences reaching tens of thousands. He is originally from Jacksonville, Florida, the same city as Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, Blackfoot, and where the Allman Brothers first formed. There's something in the water in Jacksonville, and Craig grew up drinking it! When MC Hammer heard Craig sing at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Florida, he made a point of meeting the vocalist, complimenting him as a "great singer". His songwriting has been praised by music industry professionals as "emotional" and "powerful" and "platinum worthy". Craig resides in Conyers, Georgia.
GARY ESSLINGER
Gary comes from a long line of musicians. His father's band opened for the Kinks. When you hear those sweet riffs coming from his Fender Strat, or his Gibson SG, you just know he was born to make the guitar sing! He is a veteran of the music biz, having been with several bands as well as pursuing solo projects. He is a lead and rhythm guitarist as well as a singer and songwriter! Gary resides in Covington, Georgia.
MIKE GRANT
Mike is a professional lead guitarist, drummer and vocalist with many years of experience onstage, having been a member of many successful acts. A left handed player, like Jimi Hendrix, he is equally at home playing soft riffs over lilting ballads, as he is torturing his guitar on the most rocking numbers! Mike, is a resident of Covington, Georgia.
LEE LAWSON
Lee Lawson is the bass player for Southern Mischief. He began playing guitar and then bass from the age of 7 years old. His solid and smooth playing style has garnered much praise from his peers! In addition to Bass, Lee plays guitar and also sings. Lee is a resident of Midtown Atlanta.
PAYTON HARALSON
Payton Haralson (AKA - Redneck Fury) is a veteran musician and entertainer of more than 20 years. Payton began drumming at age 12 and never looked back! In addition to performing and touring with country star "Mark Wills", Payton has also been a member of other successful bands, opening for the likes of Molly Hatchet, LA Guns, Bullet Boys, House of Lords, Diamond Rio, Billy Ray Cyrus, Pam Tillis, Marty Stewart, Little Texas, and Sawyer Brown, among others. When not playing drums, you're likely to find Payton breaking any number of noice ordinances riding his Harley through Locus Grove, Georgia where he resides!
