What is "Jeffrey Steele" doing on Van Zant's "Get Right With The Man" Cd, is he singing on it, or playing guitar, or both

Don't know whether he plays on it but he certainly co-wrote it with a guy called Kip Raines. He is credited with backing vocals on the album.
