So what happened to Chris Anderson? Now I'm disappointed. My guess is Chris is still there. Crain would be to take Hughie's place......which is why I don't think he's a good fit. There are other guitarists with styles more similar to Hughie's than Crain.

IMO, I find it's very strange that they're advertising shows, without any official announcement from the band. Also about who's in the band, i know for certain that Billy Crain's in the band as he's advertising on his my-space page, some shows for 2008, as The Outlaws profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=169310453IMO, it looks like they're putting out some feeler's, to see what folk's opinions are toward's a resurrection of the "Outlaws" I might be wrong (as i often am ) but it sure looks that way to me.

No mention of David Dix or Randy Threet, in fact no news as yet as to the bass player.

Looks like the Outlaws will be playing the Turning Stone casino on 2/23/08 8 PM. www.ticketmaster.com/event/00003F93A5BE9683?artistid=963149&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=2I'll have Mrs Punk get some tickets, (She works there). I'll try to get pics. But it won't be easy. There's NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY at that venue. I tried once at a Dickey Betts show and they told me to put the camera away, or they would throw me out. So no guarantees. Here's the line-up Henry Paul - Vocals/Guitar Monte Yoho - Drums Billy Crain - Guitar Chris Anderson- Guitar Brent Cartwright - Bass Jon Coleman- Keyboards

Anyone have any info on what happened to Randy Threet, and David Dix. Did they not want to tour with HP? Or did HP not want them in the band?
Any speculation or theory's?

I've no idea what's happening with them two, but here is the 2008 line up, From the Syracuse Post Standard: Here's The Outlaws' lineup by Mark Bialczak Tuesday January 08, 2008, 2:31 PM Jerry Reed from Turning Stone passes along the touring lineup for the Outlaws show that'll hit the Showroom on Feb. 23. The southern rockers will consist of: Henry Paul - Vocals/Guitar Monte Yoho - Drums Billy Crain - Guitar (formerly played with the Henry Paul band in the 80's) Chris Anderson- Guitar (was in the Outlaws lineup the last 3 years) Brent Cartwright - Bass Jon Coleman- Keyboards (Lee Roy Parnell's keyboard player) Reed got the list from Outlaws agent Stu Walker. Here's where the article for the lineup came from:blog.syracuse.com/listenup/2008/01/heres_the_outlaws_lineup.html, a keyboard player, and doesn't Joe Coleman play in Blackhawk as well as the Lee Roy Parnell's band, and now the Outlaws, busy guy, Outlaws one night, Blackhawk the next But no news of Randy Threet, and David Dix

Back on line tonite after being laid low by this chest bug, I'm asthmatic like Hughie so it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Anyway, I too would love to know why Randy Threet and David Dix were not included and why there is a need for a keyboard player.
David Dix was there at the start.
Who is this Brent Cartwright?
Too much like Blackhawk for me.

I agree. . . I fear the Outlaws may have gone a little to country for my taste. Well. . . I'll let you know. . . we got tickets. My wife knows the security guards, they said that she could get a few pics, and they wouldn't say anything. Also the Outlaws were booked from last year. So maybe they're just fulfilling the contract. The opening band is a local band called the Buddabellies. I met the guitar player. (Nice guy) And bought one of his cd's a few years ago. They play a lot of ACDC, and Brian Adams. I remember they were very noisy, lots of feedback. Kind of a contrast, I think. Slaphead, hope you're feeling better. From what I gathered, he's the brother of Eric Cartwright. Both were bass players for Foghat. Brent replaced Eric (Foghat) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foghat

Not sure I'm liking this. Looking more and more like "Henry Paul's Outlaws" to me. I WOULD be interested to know why Threet and Dix aren't included. Are they touring to promote the new record, as I requested they do, both here and on their official message board (before it was deleted)? If so, why do we have only 2 people who were on that record? I have a feeling this is going to be about 3/4 Henry Paul songs (both Outlaws and Henry Paul Band) and 1/4 the Outlaws staples sung by Paul and maybe Anderson. If so, I think this is a joke.
