How many of you use effect's pedals, i have all kinds of effect pedals, but i rarely use them, i use the Wah Wah, but more as a tone thing than an actual Wah, and i use a chorus as well for certain songs,

I got one stomper right now and got it on a splurge, Seymour Duncan Tweak Fuzz. I just always plugged straight into the amp to get my sound. Gotta have lots a pregain for me, but that's how I like it. The other guys I played with in my younger days always got the axe toys, I just rather have it simple. Anyway, when I saw "Tweak Fuzz" I just had to try it. 6 preset eqs with a volume and gain control. Hooked it up and strummed Smoke On The Water and knew it was commin home with me. It's nice and brought back memories of some old songs, so I bought it.

I prefer the nice warm sound from my amp, and some big speakers. When I was in a band, I used some effects, including a Tube screamer, Zoom 505, and a wah. Now, I just play through the amp. Still use the wah though.

Here's what I got. Jim Dunlop Original Cry Baby wah model GCB-95. Ibenez Tube Screamer Pro TS-808 (the original TS with the metal shell) And of course the infamous Zoom 505, and 505 (2) This isn't really a effect pedal, but worth mentioning. Peterson Strobostomp Guitar tuner. I love this thing. I can tune up during a drum or bass solo. The backgroung noise doesn't affect it. It'll tune to open tunings, such as open G, dropped D, DADGAG, open D, etc. And it's deadly accurate.

Hey sparky, they are good pedals IMO. well worth getting, but they are getting expensive to buy, secondhand ones are asking big money, well in the UK anyway, just look on ebay, they sell straight away, and for some big money Punk, you got all the necessaries there, and that dreaded 505 , i agree you need a good tuner on stage, you seem to be happy with yours I've gotta say that I'm very happy with the one I've got, does all that you mentioned, but it was pretty expensive, if i remember right, it was near £99 or £100, but well worth it

But worth it. IMO. A few years back,I realized I needed a good tuner because we detuned for almost every song. At that time, the bass player, would only play alternative, and nothing else. (And that's OK with me) So here I am trying to drop from standard to open D. ( Creed). Then back up to E flat. (for example, The song "Man In The Box" Alice in Chains, the singer couldn't make it sound right in standard tuning, but when the bass player and I dropped a half step, we nailed it). Then back down to dropped C#. and so on. My old tuner just didn't cut it. That was a lot of fun, and I thought we sounded great.

Yeah definitely punk, they're well worth the money, especially using it like you do, to DE-tune, then having to tune it to back up to whatever Bloody best invention since sliced bread ;D
