Do any of you use strap locks I'v been looking at getting some, but i'm not sure which ones to get, are they all basically the same, would i need to drill the holes bigger for the new screws ?? or will my old screws fit, or what ? i was been thinking of getting the Schaller Strap Locks, Any feedback would be good My guitar came off the strap last night at band practice, luckily i caught it before it hit the ground, but i hurt my wrist by catching it so i dont want that to happen again, that why i'm going to get me some strap locks, never had that happen before,

The same thing happened to my son. I got him a set of Dunlop Dual-Design Strap Lock System. He has a Epi LP and I installed it in less than 10 minutes with just a phillips screwdriver and no modifications at all. Works great. First thing out his mouth was, " Now I can do guitar spins".

Hey Sparky these are what i use, they cost me £2.50, a set. which is about $4.00, or there about They're made out of plastic, they just slip over your strap, strap button, then just twist/turn the front part, and Bingo there you go, there no way that strap's coming off, (unless i break them) Then twist them back, and they're off, i find they work well I got them on line, from Strings & things, over here in the UK, They work well on all guitar straps that I've tried them on, from thin straps, to thick leather straps, cheap and easy to put on and take off

The straps I used have the locks built right in. They fit on all my guitars. I found them at Guitar Center. I can't tell you how many times the old worn straps would slip off. These new lock on straps are great.
Mine are "Planet Waves" straps. I tried to get a link on the planet waves web site. But couldn't find the straps. Sorry.

Sorry about the double post. I have a couple of those straps, but there's no reason why you couldn't use one for all your guitars. They snap on and off quickly.
