We just got dumped on with 30 inches of snow these past few days, and a bit of freezing rain. I've had to snow-blow the driveway every day this past week. Not a bad winter so far though. Only 150 inches of snow so far for the season total.
My internet connection has been brutally slow. Must be the holidays.

Went out tonight to take my son and family home, it was -3 on my car thermometer. I thought it was bad until I read your post punk. We've only had a light covering of snow this year so far (inch or two). In fact this week we had temperatures of 13c during the day, amazing for February. Yesterday, I was working - driving/delivering.

Yeah we live in the snow-belt. I measure every inch because The cities in central new york compete for the most snow in a season. . . something called the Golden snowball or something like that. . . .But they won't let us play. Believe it or not there are places north of me that get more snow than I do. . Every year!!! Last season we got 244 inches of snow total. And made the national news. Redfield, NY. Mary, nice pics.

It seems that I stopped a burglary in progress a few days ago. I had fallen asleep on the couch and thought I heard a car running in my driveway. I got up and turned the outside lights on to take a look, when I opened the door and walked outside a minute or two later, I didn't see anything. It was snowing quite hard, but I could see to the end of my driveway which is a little over 100 feet. I didn't think any more of it and went back to sleep. During this time, my wife had gone back down south to visit her ailing mother. Upon their return yesterday, my daughter came in and asked if I had taken her car stereo out of her blazer. Long story short. Someone had broken into her car and took some personal items, change, and stereo, right under my nose. . The cops said they probably thought that no one was home, and I had surprised them when I turned the lights on. do I have to do to protect myself? Anyway. . . Shotgun is loaded and ready, If I catch them in my house, they're dead. Cop said no court would convict me. (as long as they're in the house that is.)

Frigging thieving Motherf**kers, i hate thief's,
Sorry to hear the bad news punk, shit, what's is this, the second or third time??
You'll have to do what you have to do, to protect your home M8, They have no respect for other folk's property, It really riles me, that what you've worked hard to pay for, they steal and sell for pittance, just to (mostly) buy smack (skag) or crack,

I'm afraid that as long as the cops are weak, crime will only get worse. Oh the cops here are nice guys, yeah. But they're not used to doing anything but guarding the donut shop, running a plate to get a date, or parking 100 feet from a bar and stopping everyone until they get a DWI. As far as doing any real detective work, finger printing, or checking tire tread, forget it. The cop that came to my house said that two bikes were stolen from his own back yard. That crime is still unsolved.
A little trick I picked up, If you shoot a crook outside (Not in the house) put a gun in their hand and say they drew first. Plead self defense.
I feel bad for my daughter, she don't have much. I'm mad at myself for not waking up and getting outside faster. Oh well, could have been worse.
End of rant.
