My son mentioned he wanted a new box for Christmas. No problem so I went lookin at the local store. They had some nice ones. Brought him back to see which one he liked. He wanted a 6 string but I suggested a 12. He never played one so he sat and strumed a little. Then tried some more, you know the routine. Finally went with an Ibanez Sage model $180. Very nice lookin and sounds terriffic. He even lets me play it some. Today he asked me if I could show him some acoustic songs. I said sure so looks like some dad and son time jammin is around the bend.

I couldn't get either my son or my daughter to learn any instrument's, and is wasn't for the lack of opportunities for them, I bought them a guitar, as they wanted to play guitar, they strummed a few times, learned E, A, D, then gave up, as it was too hard for them Then my son wanted to play the drum's, so i got him a second hand drum set, plus i got the drummer in my band at that time, (who was/is a pro and drum teacher) to give them both lesson's, but they just preferred to hit f**k out of the drums, so the drums was soon forgotten about, It would have been great to jam with my kids, so i envy you guy's, But made up for you as well, that you're able to jam with your's,

I don't know about adoptin ya'll but you're welcome to come and visit a spell. All 3 kids want to play guitar. Michaela is 8 and is gettin BJ's hand me down and the baby, Zak he's 3 has his own electric Fender, it's about 2 foot long with 1 pup, built in speaker. When he sees me play he staps it on,flips the switch and just starts strummin. Sometimes when BJ is slappin drums he goes in there and jams with him.

I can't seem to get my grandaughter into guitars. (She's 9 years old). I offered, but she don't want to do it, too hard. That's OK, her and I bond in other ways. We both like video games, (playstation) swimming, hiking, and stuff. So that's cool. She likes to sing and dance though. So maybe someday.
