You guys did real good. Man I just dig Foghat. My mostest favorite band, bar none. And I thank Rod Price, the band's original slide player, cause that's who I listened to hours on end to learn. I play mine on the birdie just like him too, just no where near as good, but I'm still givin it hell.

I also did some more searchin too and found this www.foghat.com/equipment/index.htmWhat do you think of this, both guys use the same pups but have em reversed from each other. I actually been lookin into a pair of 4 conductor Seth Lover pups from Seymour Duncan and shoppin pawn shops for a used LP to rewire. I think they quit makin nice cheap used LPs cause everybody wants big bucks for old LPs even when they are all beat up. I really want one that is scratched, buckle rashed, worn finish on the wood and rubbed down chromed parts but has a good neck and fingerboard with decent frets. I been wantin to wire one up "Jimmy Page" style using old school pups. If I can't find one I might just use the V and do a little body drillin to fit 4 pots.

I noticed that before when i read their web site, great pups, they do have a great sound, and they do sound very much like the old PAFs, Yes' it very hard trying to get an used Gibson, cheap, everyone is asking silly prices, even for totally butchered Gibson's, you see them on f**king unbelievable how much they think their worth, and the sad thing is people do believe this and pay these prices, I remember a few years ago, you could buy oldish Noerlyn customs, conversions, and juniors for a few hundred pounds, now their asking a couple of grand plus for Noerlyn Gibson's, and ten thousand plus for Juniors, I would think it would be better and cheaper buying a second hand Epi for a hundred pounds or around that off than try to get an old beat up Gibson, and do your upgrades to that, IMO,

cofi my friend your're right about just gettin a new Epi or even a faded SG for low end bucks. I could get me a set neck Epi, strip it down and sand it to bare wood and no one would be able to tell what it is. Still I would like to get an old LP just to tinker with again. I really haven't done that in soooo long. I got the bug to start doin some mods and have a few things I want to try. I really miss havin my old LP with the series switch I put in it. What I really want is to get some 4 conductor Seth Lovers, 57 Classics, or 490s (I'm wantin a real old school type sound), so I can get parallel/series and phase in/out. The LPR has me spoiled on the phase switch and I really like it and love the sound it gives.

Hey whitey, I know what you mean about getting an old Les Paul (or not so old) thats well worn and looks like it's been played regular for the last 30 + years it sort of got mojo, I have been looking, (still do every day) for one, over here it not possible to get one for the price that they're worth, people want silly money, but maybe over there in the states, it might be easier to get one, But i can see where your coming from, folk's would think, wow, what a f**king piece of shit guitar, and then when you plug it in, Tone heaven, and with them pick ups that your going to put in it, blow their minds yes i like that ;D All the best with your searching, search enough and long enough, and i reckon you'll find one, or maybe two, then you can sell me one
